UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Quarterback Allison Cahill passed for 299 yards and 5 touchdowns while running back Ruth Matta racked up 175 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns as the Renegades defeated New York 40-13. Boston’s defense collected three interceptions and limited the Wolves to just 91 yards of total offense.
The victory gives the Renegades a season sweep over the Wolves. Boston defeated New York 68-14 at the Renegades home opener on April 13.
Quarterback Allison Cahill matched a personal and team record with a passing touchdown of 94-yards to Ruth Matta #22. Coincidentally, Cahill first set this mark against the New York Wolves earlier this season [94-yards to Stephanie Pascual #3, 4/13/2019]. At the mid point of the season, Cahill leads the Women’s Football Alliance in touchdowns (17) and passing yards (1188).
The Renegades return home to Harry Della Russo Stadium in Revere to take on the rising Baltimore Nighthawks (3-1) on Saturday, May 18.
