Torrance Brown was a three-sport athlete at North Side High School in Fort Wayne, Ind., playing volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She played NCAA Division I Volleyball at Georgia State University where was selected to the all-conference team. She posted career stats placing her in the school’s top ten in several categories: Blocks (solo), Blocks (assists), Total Blocks, Blocks per Set, and Points Scored.
Brown is one of Boston’s longest tenured football players. She began her football career in 2002 with the New England Storm, one of the founding members of the WPFL (1999-2007) and modern women’s football movement. She since played with the New England Intensity, the Boston Militia, and the Boston Renegades, earning championship rings and all-star selections along the way. She was inducted into the New England Intensity Hall of Fame in 2010.
