Katie Falkowski is a lifelong athlete and motivator. At Sandwich (Mass.) High School, she helped start the ice hockey team in 2004, and continued playing hockey at Holy Cross. After earning a Master’s in Education at Creighton University, Falkowski taught for three years in Rapid City, South Dakota, while also coaching girls’ high school hockey, middle school track, and one year of high school football under head coach Wayne Sullivan at St. Thomas Moore High School.
In 2011, Falkowski returned to Cape Cod and opened CrossFit Hyannis, which she owned and operated until selling the gym in 2022.
She learned about and joined the Renegades in 2020.
“Finding football as an adult and playing on the Boston Renegades is one of the biggest blessings in my life,” says Falkowski. “I love being around a group of people working toward a common goal — people who embrace the process, support each other, and encourage each other to level up.”
“A lot of people go through a monotonous life and never take chances, challenge themselves, or push themselves out of their comfort zones,” Katie said. “Playing football on the Boston Renegades allows me to live my life more fully and be surrounded by others who refuse to accept complacency and instead challenge themselves to work to be champions.”
Falkowski brings her experience and outlook to the Barnstable High School football team as an offense assistant. She also manages Ward Construction, the home improvement company founded by her husband Erik.
