Darcy Leslie of Chicago, Ill., joined the Boston Renegades women’s pro football team in 2023 as a veteran linebacker. She played previously in the Women’s Football Alliance with the Chicago Force.

During her time with the Force she was a Women’s Football Alliance national champion (2013) and was decorated with many individual awards every season, including the perennial team Defensive MVP and league All American. Her highest honor of all was being named Women’s Football Alliance Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.

In 2022 Darcy was one of 45 athletes selected as a member of the 2022 U.S. Women’s National Football Team. Darcy and her teammates traveled to Vantaa, Finland as part of Team USA and won the Gold Medal match against Great Britain.
