“Playing women’s football is meaningful to me because it proves that women are capable of anything,” says O”Malley. “The strength of my teammates, their drive, their passion, and their determination push me to be the best version of myself.”
O’Malley competed in basketball, volleyball, and softball at King Philip High School (Wrentham, Mass.) “Growing up, my dad coached every sports team of mine he could. This was very special to me because he helped mold me as an athlete,” she explained. “He always pushed me to do my best in athletics and my mom was always sitting in the stands cheering me on.”
O’Malley attended Dean College and now studies biological research at UMASS Boston.
